Northside ISD
R-S-C-R provided the structural design and detailed structural drawings for this new construction project, which consists of a new 460,000-SF, two-story facility that sits on 75 acres. In addition to traditional classroom wings, the facility includes related ancillary facilities, such as parking lots, athletic fields and gymnasiums, a library, food service and cafeteria and a fine arts theatre. One of the new gymnasiums serves as Northside ISD’s third competition gymnasium.
The structural system consists of a reinforced concrete pan-joist system supported on drilled piers. The roof framing consists of a dovetail acoustical metal deck, bar joists and wide flange beams.
