Description: Project included a a new Central Utility Plant within and at the grade level of an existing Parking Garage, adjacent to an existing Central Utility Plant. It also involves a linking tunnel from the new CUP to a new 12-story Trauma Tower, under an existing 12-story Trauma Tower. Mass excavation is required prior to the construction of the CUP. This required several structural analyzes prior to excavation procedures. The Oil Storage Facility consists of a storage tank housed within one of the circular ramps servicing the existing parking garage. New drilled piers were installed supporting the foundation for the tank. The existing concrete walls were added to a composite roof deck installed over the storage tank.
