Churchill High School CTE Building

R-S-C-R provided the structural design and detailed structural drawings for this new construction addition at Churchill High School.
The two-story, 62,593-SF addition houses 23 classroom/laboratories, which consist of Business Marketing, Family & Consumer Science, Health Science and Technology Education departments and a CTE shared computer lab, as well as science classrooms with integrated laboratory areas, supporting preparation rooms and three teacher workroom/support areas.
The structural system consists of a reinforced concrete pan-joist system supported on drilled piers. The roof framing consists of metal deck, bar joists and wide flange beams. A bridge connects the new building to the existing structure, a span of about 60 feet.
