University Hospital – West Parking Garage

Description: Project included 10-story superstructure provides and accommodates parking for 3,800 vehicles, with an additional level serving as a heliport capable of parking three helicopters simultaneously. Construction of this facility consists of precast beams and columns, and cast-in-place post-tensioned slabs. The drilled pier supported retaining wall is on three sides of the structure, which varies in height from 8 to 26 feet, and is designed to support the loads from saturated soil and traffic loads from the adjacent streets.
